Who We Are in Christ

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Who I am in Christ

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32.

As a youth God taught me that I was not worthy or righteous by anything that I did, but by the very blood of Christ that He gave freely. When I prayed about a thing that was vexing me, God reminded me that the fervent effectual prayer of a righteous man avails much. I said, yes, but I am not a righteous man. God corrected me immediately: “Don’t tread underfoot the very blood that was shed for you to be righteous.”

It is not what you do or do not do that makes you righteous. It is the sacrifice of Christ. If you claim to be unworthy after the Blood of Christ has made you worthy, then you are denying the work of Christ in your life.

Say to yourself: I am worthy, because JESUS’ blood has made me worthy. Nothing I can do, nothing I can say, nothing I have ever done can separate me from the love God has for me in Christ Jesus.

Jesus said the Father has loved us as He loved Him (John 17:23). You were purchased at a steep price — 1 Corinthians 6:20.
